In hindsight who would you actually draft to start your franchise?

Alfreddson?
Hossa?

My overwhelming recency bias says it's gotta be Pageau.

Hossa's a 3 time cup champion with over 500 goals. Alfie was great but Hossa is easily better for me when it comes to the Hall of Fame.

I agree with others that Alfie is the greatest Senator but Erik is the best player to have played for the team.

Hossa was never even a finalist for any NHL award except runner-up to the Calder. He was, at best, the 6th or 7th best player on each of the Stanley Cup winning teams he played on. I don't know how you can say he was "easily" better in his career than Alfredsson, from a HoF perspective.
