Ryan f***king Hollweg. My brother played with him growing up and was amazed he made it to the NHL.

I’m referring to southern California, specifically the LA area and suburbs. I think there were a few others that played in the NHL but I forget. I remember the Red Wings drafting a player from Thousand Oaks (where I grew up playing). I’m pretty sure they never signed him.

Well he didn't exactly make the league for his hockey talent...

Birthplace: Brian Campbell, Andy MacDonald

Hometown: Jamie Benn, the Courtnalls, maybe Tyson Barrie

Current: Joe Sakic, probably for all time. Currently Barzal, Johansen + maybe RNH idk

You're cheating. You either get RNH and Sakic, RyJo, or Barzal.

Hometown: Ryan Johansen
Birthplace: Probably Bob Rouse, which is embarrassing considering the size and location of the city.

Gene Carr is the only one I can think of who has made the NHL but I'm sure Patrick Bajkov, Dylan Ferguson, and Dylan Coghlan (Coghlan was born in Duncan but lived in Nanaimo for as long as I can remember) will probably surpass him.

None.

But Primeau brothers had a cottage out at Marl Lake, so that was cool.

Them getting into a fight when Keith was a Whaler and Wayne was a Sabre in Hartford is one of the greatest moments in hockey history. The story of their mom yelling at them the next time she saw them makes it even better.

They use to run a hockey camp that I attended and always brought up this story

Mannheim, Germany:

Jochen Hecht

I was actually wondering for some time now whether there would be another Hfboards user from Mannheim on this board since it is traditionally kind of the biggest hockey city in Germany but after reading through this thread, it doesn't seem so.

Saskatoon: Gordie Howe. Actually from Floral which is 4.5 miles away.

Saskatoon would win a line brawl with any city: Dave Brown, Howe, Keith Magnuson, Mick Vukota, Richard Pilon, Todd Ewen, Gary Rissling, Wade Belak.
