Sorry boys and girls, but Fight Club is still number 1 on this list.
Unfortunately Fight Club was spoiled for me. Just like The Planet of the Apes and Memento. Since I really love movies with plot twist, this was biggest warning not to watch trailers or read anything about movies I planned to watch. Thanks God, The Usual Suspects wasn't spoiled. One of the best movie experiances I have ever had.

Very good list..

I think original Planet of the Apes is #1..
Darth Vader reveal, & Sixth Sense would be in my subjective top 3.

I saw The Sixth Sense twist coming about halfway through. Ofc. it helped that I heard movie has insane twist. So,it wasn't really all that tough to guess. But, OTOH there was movies like Gone Girl where I also know there is somewhere twist and still didn't guess.Or Orphan as well.

Not a typical choice as I'm assuming it wasn't the intention and marketing spoiled it but I saw The Matrix in theatre without ever having seen a trailer for it or having any knowledge as to what it was about.

Good list, I went with Saw. I don't particularly care for the series at all, but the twist in the original was perfect. My rating is mostly on effectiveness of the twist. In Saw, I didn't see it coming the way it was set up and it made for a great ending to the story.

Runner up is Predestination purely based on the amount of mind f***s.

The Mist to me is the best one I've ever seen. Just packs such a punch. Since I've got more into movies I think it's alot tougher to surprise me as you pick up on more foreshadowing and tropes the more you see, but among the list of movies in the OP I remember The Others really shocking me when I was really young.

I'm going with The Sting because it's a movie about conmen, pulling off a con, and in the end we all got conned. Plus in 1973, you never would have seen it coming.

Its been a while, but I don't really remember a twist to The Mist. Remind me?

Very, very end of the movie. The group of sympathetic, relatable characters escape the toxic situation of the grocery store where everyone is going hysteric and turning on one another by siding with the overly religious lady. As they're driving through the mist they see how widespread it is and that there are horrific things beyond anything they've seen (such as a leviathan monster). Deciding there's no hope, they all agree to take the easy way out (except for the main character's kid, who's sleeping). Main character shoots everyone in the car but doesn't have enough bullets for himself. As he goes back out into the mist he screams for the monsters to take him, but the army comes out of the mist to save the day, with trucks filled with survivors (you can speculate people from the grocery store included).

Voted Old Boy, though Les Diaboliques (1955) would have gotten my vote if it had been included. Still, a very good list.

I wouldn't say Predestination has just one twist, I'd say that entire movie is a twist

As far as 'best twist' goes, it's hard to choose, I'll go with Usual Suspects because I was still pretty young when I saw that one for the first time and that was the most "holy shit" moment I can remember, nowadays I've seen so many movies I don't really get those shocking reactions anymore.

Since I really love movies with plot twist, this was biggest warning not to watch trailers or read anything about movies I planned to watch.

Very true! If you love movies with a twist I'd recommend Colombian thriller The Hidden Face, which has a great twist AND THEY PUT IT IN THE TRAILER :help: so don't watch that
I've always wondered how the hell they OK'd that trailer since it spoils everything

Came to my mind too, but I would still go with Spoorloos, which really should be a choice here.

Out of curiosity, was Darth Vader's "I am your father" moment a big shock back in the day? I obviously grew up knowing that, but I am curious what that was like when it came out.
