Music: BEST ALBUM OF 2022

Mystic Sisters is weird for me. I was initially disappointed. I'm still not exactly blown away, but I do find myself constantly going back to listen to it.

Did you listen to Gospel - The Loser or Magical Volume of Dark Matter? I am definitely enjoying both of those more as comeback records of 2000s screamo bands.


And I don't plan on doing a list, but Celebrity Therapist is easily my personal album of the year.

After becoming a huge Ken Mode fan during pandemic, and hearing so much about Chat Pile...it was Celebrity Therapist that I enjoyed the most.

Overall, it was a good year - but not really matching 2020 or 2021 for me. There were so many big name releases this year, but I thought most of them fell flat (with a few noteworthy exceptions). It was a strong year for alternative and punk, and a decent year for hip-hop - though Kendrick's album being (in my opinion) disappointing took a lot of the air out of things.

I didn’t mind his last album but the new one is great. So many awesome guitar players on the new album. Tony Iommi, Zakk Wylde, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready and Jeff Beck
