Neither will get in, not sure who might be more likely. JB has an Art Ross but TS will be the better compiler.

Seguin has a better chance at winning any trophies from here on out, but Benn does already have that Art Ross. I don't think either will get in though. I think both could have their jerseys retired by the Stars if Seguin resigns, but that's it. All that changes if they manage to get a Stanley Cup and one of them possibly a Conn Smythe though.

If they stay with the Stars, they either both make it or neither do. The only chance they do make it is if they both reach a level where they can consistently get their team into the postseason and win it all one or more times. If they fail to do that, they will have to settle for jersey retirement from the Stars.

If Seguin does leave it's a complete wildcard whether or not he has the opportunity to make it.

You overestimate how difficult it is to get into the Hall of Fame as a forward. Dave Andreychuk was just inducted and he was never even a first or second All-Star, let alone a winner of any individual hardware.

Benn's Art Ross all but guarantees that he'll get in eventually. He finished second in scoring the year after he won, and finished 8th in scoring the year before he won, so it's not like his Art Ross was a fluke. He's scored more points than Kane in three of the past five years.

If Seguin can remain healthy and continue to score ~40 goals for a few more seasons he could eventually get in as well.

This doesn't change the fact that he is still merely a compiler. He was a top10 scorer one time (T-9th) and a top10 goal scorer 2 times (4,9). Never even a finalist for any personal awards, never made it past the 3rd all start team. He simply wasn't an elite player who stood above his peers like most HoF are.

He played 23 years and through a few iterations of the highest scoring and PPO eras we've seen so his numbers are inflated. This mere fact you state is one of the primary reasons he got in.
