I love how football hasn’t been played in like three months but now Fields is a bum and everyone is excited for Caleb. When the media narrative drives opinions >>>>>
Who liked Fields a couple months ago and is now calling him a bum?

Getting a DWI in the middle of the day on a Sunday for a man of Sweat's size is a pretty big red flag. I mean, more so than being stupid enough to get a DWI weeks before the biggest day of your life would normally be.

The man was 366lbs in combine shape. I wouldn't be surprised if he's around 380-400lbs now. He could drink half of a regular sized bottle of liquor and be under the legal limit in Texas in about an hour.

Odunze or Nabers. Alt if he's still there. If all three are gone I'm starting to become partial to trading down and targeting one of the top DTs.

I'm still team trade down unless one of the top 3 WRs is available.

As far as I have heard, Turner, Latu and Chop Robinson have all visited Halas Hall. Haven't heard anything on Murphy, Verse, or Newton.

He's not passing a breathalyzer an hour after drinking half of a fifth my man.

Nope, I was wrong. Also turns out he was involved in a crash together with another car whose driver fled the scene around 4am, which is when the DWI happened.

Hasn't seen a football player be involved in a crash like that since... Rashee Rice about a week earlier.

If Odunze is there at #9 and the Jaguars come calling, what's the minimum they can pay before you accept it? What's the minimum you think Poles will take? By the Rich Hill pick value chart, #9 and a 6th rounder is roughly equivalent to #17 + #48.

if Odunze is there, I don't think you can defend passing on him via trade barring a major overpayment (17 + Jags 2025 1st)

Since Bears have both Panthers and Bears 2025 2nds they should really be open to trading 2025 1st to get back into late part of 1st round if they find a team more interested in 2025 draft

Well, I am done as Bears in 2024 HF NFL Mock

Trades
1) Traded #9 to Minnesota Vikings for #11, #129 and #177
2) Traded #75 to Arizona Cardinals for #90 and #104

1st round (1st overall) - QB Caleb WIlliams, USC
1st round (11th overall) - EDGE Dalllas Turner, Alabama
3rd round (90th overall) - WR Jermaine Burton, Alabama
4th round (104th overall) - DT Tyler Davis, Clemson
4th round (122nd overall) - C Hunter Nourzad, Penn State
4th round (129th overall) - S Jaylin Simpson, Auburn
6th round (177th overall) - TE Jared Wiley, TCU

Went into draft with 4 picks (#1, #9, #75 and #122) and thru some minor trade downs gained more picks

I feel that I addressed most of the Bears needs.

Burton was a reach, I also don't like Turner in the Bears scheme.

I still like Fields. Appears to be a great person and leader. Unfortunately, he still can’t throw with anticipation and lacks pocket awareness. Can Fields improve in those 2 areas? Yes … but to throw with anticipation will not be easy if he hasn’t improved by now. Until he improves that, he’ll always be a mediocre passer. That said, I still think he can become a decent starter in the league … although probably never a good passer.

I’ll be rooting for Fields minis against the Bears. I’m all in on Caleb’s upside and rookie contract. The Bears process was correct. Let’s hope Caleb lives up to his potential.

Mel Kiper has the Bears taking Odunze at 9.
I found it interesting to see Murphy at 18, Latu at 19, Verse at 21, McConkey at 39, Newton at 42, and Powers-Johnson at 47. I'm certainly not opposed if they wanted to trade down to the late teens (e.g. Jacksonville/Cincinnati), and pick up a 2nd and maybe another day 3 pick. Depending on how the board shakes out, you can use the 2nd round pick acquired and move up to get either McConkey, Newton, or Powers-Johnson

Powers Johnson will go in the 20-25 range
