You are aware that 5 of France's players are currently in the NBA? I believe that 2 more were drafted.

You were watching NBA players playing against other NBA players.

In 2016 or 2012, 4 of Spain's starting 5 were NBA players and the 5th was MVP of Spain's pro league.

The NBA is not going to disallow foreign players, so you will see more losses by the US in Olympic basketball. Just don't buy into that crackpot at ESPN!

There's a big difference between being a franchise player in the NBA or a depth player. Only Gobert and Fournier aren't depth players.
US roster was just NBA stars for the most part.
