What is Jortikka doing nowadays anyway? He seems like a guy who wouldn't mind going to Kazakhstan and he is a really good coach without a job. Unless Barys will stay true to their new policy and will just get some local pleb.

And our guesses turns out to be wrong immediately. Belarussian Eduard Zankovets, who spent last year scouting for Blackhawks, but in past been assistant coach for SKA, Avangard and NT of Belarus. Not an inspiring signing, but he now a chance to prove himself as the main guy.

Finally got the elusive win against Yugra...

But back to losing ways today against Avto. Still bottom of the East.

This sums up the season so far:

Barys has resigned St. Pierre. The way this season has started, it is a huge addition and goes straight into the roster vs SKA.

Yeah now they have a second line which kinda resembles one, looking at the depth chart at least.

Barys badly needs something from two upcoming (Severstal & CSKA) games at home. Following this comes a quite difficult away stint, after which almost 1/3 of the regular season will have been already played with Barys maybe even below 10pt.

2 wins would put us only 1 point behind Salavat through 9 games. I'd take that considering where we are right now.

Yep, but we'll take it.

34 saves from Karlsson. Tryasunov, Rymarev, and Starchenko all 1+1.

Barys are slowly climbing up after acquiring St. Pierre and Trivino and realistically are at 7-8 spot in the East. Who would have thought adding 2 quality centers would help a team.

I'd say any two actual KHL level players would have been huge, let alone ones in crucial positions.

Wow, 3-0 for Barys and only 1 period has gone by. I hope Barys can hold onto this lead.
