Amen to that. I have confidence he'll be a great goalie for us. I just have equal confidence that these boards will turn on him when he turns out to be 'just' an excellent goalie filling some big shoes - especially if Kinky ends up winning games and Cory butchers a few. I don't think people realize what great goalie play this team got from both goalies last year.

And we were spoiled for so long by the best ever.

Marty's career seemed to have afterburners. He would appear mortal and on the decline, everyone in the press would write him off, then he would return to form and dominate again.

If we get anywhere near the consistent excellence and longevity with the new guy we are beyond lucky.
