The Blues bet on Husso to be ready and he's not. The team has been decimated by injuries, but can hopefully get back to full health and be a contender come playoff time. In the meantime they can't afford to have a backup playing as poorly as Husso has (lowest Sv% relative to expectation in the NHL according to Moneypuck). Anyone out there the Blues could make a move for?

He hasn't had enough icetime for those stats to mean much. He had a rough start, but has basically been better every game. The Blues probably aren't going to replace him unless he costs them games, and, so far, he hasn't.

Blues I believe were ahead of oilers on waivers claims. Don't get why they didn't claim Stalock.

Just for reference:
Outside of his first two games; Husso has a .903 sv% and a 2.91 GAA.
Which would have him tied for 43rd in Sv%(with Gibson and Halak) and 46th in GAA(between Riemer and Samsonov).

Husso got absolutely shelled in his first 2 games, but he's been fairly solid since then. He certainly hasn't warranted pulling the plug just yet.

Yep. The Cup afterglow is starting to fade and fans are comfortably sliding back to the culture of overreaction.

If the blues decide to pack it in for the season. How much would you want for Binnington ?

Don’t see why that would happen honestly. Even with all the injuries, the Blues are in a playoff spot with no depth behind Binnington. There’s a much better chance he’s signed long term before the Blues ever consider trading him.

It’s tough to give you an answer even in a vacuum because of the wild variance in goalie values and the total sinkhole that would be left in the wake of moving him.

What a stupid comment, tell me exactly why would the Blues actually "pack it in" and tell me how would trading their starting goalie helps the team in long run? all of a sudden St Louis is going into a rebuild for no reason?

Husso is fine. Giving up on him after a handful of NHL games is dumb.

We don’t need to give up assets for a backup.

Rangers could go either way.
Gel all of a sudden, see how far deep they go in playoffs which = great experience.

or

could deal vets and give max mins to emerging youth.
which may also be ok for POs, but then we add swag from trades.

Unfortunately, Shesty is in tender condition and cannot be rushed back no matter what.

So Geo's price, which was 2nd and a solid add, is now up to nothing less than a late 1st.
NY would likely deal Brendan Smith for Hutton + small add first, but likely lean on Kinkaid and Huska.

9/10 when I read a post that has me wondering “what?”, I scroll back up and say “ah, bernmeister; legend of the game”.
