Wow, the 25th ranked PK against the 25th ranked PP at practice. Real stiff competition.

Special teams on both sides have been dreadful for several years now, and given that the roster has turned over during that time, it screams to me more of structure and schematic than the players themselves. How on earth has this stuff not been fixed yet? I made a post last year showing that, since 2011-'12, the Lightning have been 24th or worse every year in PK'ing, and 29th or 30th in PP effectiveness. This year, their PK is actually 21st (progress!...somehow) and their PP is 28th. Whoop de freakin do.

Not sure where you're getting your rankings from, but NHL.com has us at 76.7% on the PK (25th) and 16.5% on the PP (tied with St. Louis for 24/25).

I'm using CF/60 on PP, and CA/60 on PK, and you're definitely right in that I should have at least clarified that immediately. Busy day and I got lazy.

PP CF/60 http://stats.hockeyanalysis.com/teamstats.php?disp=1&db=201516&sit=5v4&sort=CF60&sortdir=DESC

PK CA/60 http://stats.hockeyanalysis.com/teamstats.php?disp=1&db=201516&sit=4v5&sort=CA60&sortdir=ASC

(22nd, actually, on the PK, not 21st.)

Ah ok. I was going by the actual conversion numbers. I see now. Your numbers definitely explain mine lol

Our PK has had some bad single games. Overall it's been fine. Was running a 90% since Coop made changes after the 5th or 6th game of the season. If you take out those first 5 or 6 games we still have over a 80% PK rate. I am not worried about the PK as much as the PP.
