From the Commandments of Anton:

12. The Anton can defect to the KHL whenever he pleases, even during games.

Do well in the KHL, Saint Anton.

Should never have been re-signed in the first place. Not trading him at the deadline two years ago when he was on that hot streak was a big mistake.

If Feaster did trade Sarich or Babchuck, they would have waived as both stated they weren't happy in Calgary. There was just no interest from the other GM's.

Most certainly. Rebuild or not, why keep dead weight?

Don't even get me started on Sarich. Terrible asset management over the past few years

Surprised at the little Anton praise. I am scared/excited to see our lineup next year.
Why would their be praise?

He was beyond slow.
He was usless defensively.
He was softer than warm butter.

He makes Sarich look like Lidstrom

For a while he actually looked like he could be useful, cannon of a shot. All the best to him.

Yeah there was a bunch of games that he just seemed to be a really good puck mover. Sadly he never replicated it further. He had all the physical gifts too.

Honestly, in his first season with Calgary, I was actually happy with him. He blocked a ton of shots, was putting up great points from the blueline with that cannon... Unsure of what exactly changed.
Has all the physical tools to be a top four, PP specialist in this league; disinterest and effort kept him in the press-box.

except skating ability, physicality and talent

Except he's not overly slow. Mediocre, sure, not regehr like by any means though. And you don't need to be physical to be good in this league and he obviously has talent, made it to the NHL and put up some points. He was/is just unmotivated and lazy.

I think if he was motivated and turned up the intensity a notch he could be a top 4 dman

******** he isn't slow. He made Regehr looks fast, he made Bouwmeester look physically dominant.

And he is not good in this league. That is why he is leaving for Russia for a 3rd time in 7 years. And suggesting Babchuk could be a top 4 defenseman is beyond laughable, it is completely unrealistic and asinine.
