I'm excited to see Aittokallio get his second start with the Avalanche. This is what we need to be doing. Give our goalie prospects a cup of tea in the big league a few times a year for the next few years. What I'm expecting from Aittokallio is a raw Varlamov type performance. Lot's of athletic saves but a bit too much happy feet.

He was 23/25 and it was against LA. Not too shabby. And one of the goals was on the PP. So he only gave up one ES.

Good defensive numbers...with 35 shots against per game, bailed out by Varlamov most nights as we sit back and wait for the onslaught, and allow a TONNE of great chances in close.

Not so sure we can put that to rest just yet.
