No frickin idea, not many undrafted freshmen leave school after their first year or are fortunate enough to get an ELC on top of that. Its probably a signing to increase the Eagle's squad depth next year where the scouts saw something they liked.Upside?
I'm shocked he left college... I really like this kid's game. I figured he'd have waited another season to turn pro, but he's got legit NHL upside. He's a big, smooth, smart center.
Damn I was hoping for Bruce Dickenson.
We would be wearing gold plated diapers.
4th liner or top 9 skill?
Josh Dickinson
Is the brother of Jason Dickinson who was a 1st rounder for the Dallas Stars. Avs obviously liked something they saw considering he just finished his freshman season at Clarkson University. E: Actually posted some pretty solid numbers, more surprised that Josh left as a freshman since these guys want to leave as soonest as a Junior.
Stylistically who would you compare him to? Y'all love giving comparisons, right? He has some skill to his game. How much is always a question. Contrary to what you'd think by his numbers, he is more of a playmaker than a goal scorer. A number of his goals were in close rebounds on the PP, so don't take that total or shot percentage as a true gauge of what his shot is like (it is pretty solid, but not amazing either). He was used as Clarkson's 2nd line center and was tasked as the matchup guy after he got his feet wet. This is a solid add to the prospect pool.
Too bad he's not good.Joe's using Josh to lure Jason...
Minor league for sure.No idea who this is, but it sounds like Joe is continuing to try to add center depth to the team somehow. Henchy do you think this is more of a minor league addition for the time being or will he Kerfoot his way on to the team next fall?

That's still a pretty shaky C lineup for the Eagles next year, even if Toninato starts there next year.He should be a minor league guy... probably competing for a middle 6 role there next year with Beaudin, Nantel, and maybe Girard.
