Eichel’s contract has a NMC kicking in next season. Buffalo will definitely trade him before that

I’d do it. You’d have to make some other moves to fill out the depth around your big pieces though, because that seriously hurts the depth. A top-4 of Byram, Makar, Toews and Johnson is still as good as any in the league.

I'd say yes just because I'm the type of person that says you can't say no when a player of that caliber comes available.

But I don't see how Buffalo would go for that.

I would miss G, but I also sort of suspect that his stock is at the highest it's ever going to be.

This might cause some problems with depth for us, but it seems like we already have problems with depth. I'd rather have the top heavy super-talented team with ahl backstop than 2 lines of dime-a-dozen grade B and C guys.
