I like the guy, and it's almost minimum salary so sure why not. I mean we are going to be tight on the cap anyways but I trust Joe to make some magic happen.

Probably not, but I guess it depends on the matchup and how the games go. If the games get tough, having him bring some extra physicality might not be a bad thing even if he is objectively worse than some of those guys above. We are talking about one player here.

Honestly not bad at all. MacDermaid has proven he can be a #7 D and at times this year I would argue he has played as a solid #6, he’s also willing to play forward, stickup for teammates and can throw them with the best.

The amount this guy has done in just one season to stick is amazing and this contract is well deserved.
