The Panthers have won 2 in a row and are 5-3-2 in their last 10.
The Avs lost their last game but have been 7-2-1 in their last 10.

This game was expected to showcase the league's 2 youngest centres who are both in the run for the calder but Barkov is currently injured. He is however being replaced in the lineup by the legendary Scott Gomez who is well known for this.

The Panthers beat Colorado the last time these two teams played 4-1 in Denver. Colorado holds an 18-5-4 record all time vs the Panthers which includes the 96 cup finals.

This game marks the return of Shoot first winger Alex Tanguay. That there is in fact sarcasm at its fullest.
