I don't like the value given up, but I am not a fan of how Burakovsky plays. He is a really soft player. Hopefully this does not mean that Sakic does not feel comfortable with the ability to land UFAs.

Another enigmatic question mark for the middle six. Hope and pray we pull a second line together from spare parts is the offseason plan B?

I was all for balls on the table but this?

Way too much to pay, ARZ 3rd and a 5th or 6th would have been better.

Or even both of our 3rds, just so that whoever is in charge of our 3rd round at the scouting table doesn't have any more ammo to f*** the pick up.

If Sakic is committed to the compete window than this is a fine trade. A late 2nd and a 3rd likely wouldn't draft a roster player anyway and if it did we wouldn't be seeing that player for 3+ years minimum. Bura is a good middle 6 forward with top 6 upside and can play now.

And not only that, it's the Arizona third so it's likely to be early in the round.

What the hell people in here are so bi-polar.

We finally make a deal that doesn't hurt our current roster. For 24 year old who IMO has untapped potential due to under usage in Washington.

Oh no we traded a 2nd, a 3rd and prospect for a younger roster player who could mesh well with our group of younger guys. Totally worth the risk, IMO.
