Another beauty of a thread dumping on Auston back in November.

Papi then comes through huge… scores 69 goals and wins another Rocket.

Well worth $13 million… last night, puts the team on his back and beats Boston to even the series.

Auston is probably worth $15 million if he had of tested the UFA market.

He wasn't awful

Had 2-3 chances, but the team (mostly marner) is making it clear either he's gonna have to carry the team single-handedly or we are going to lose

from that standpoint, it wasn't enough. The 2 on 1 or the pp shot had to go in.

"Chances" aren't good enough. Dude has 1 goal in 3 games so far. He's getting absolutely dunked on by a scrub like DeBrusk. He was nowhere near the intensity level he was the other night and when you get paid as much as he does, there's no such thing as a night off.

In theory i agree, but with the split lines this is a scenario where MARNER is supposed to come up big. This should've been a game where either Marner, or Samsonov

Marner made one pass...and then went back to the point to play his RD position like a p***y

Samsonov let in 3 shit goals which 1 should've been stopped at least

We had f***ing JARNKROK out in big moments, the dude who has 5 goals in 88 playoff games.

He's gonna have to be special again in game 4 and the rest if we want to win this series, because marner is playing like colton sissons

Can't wait to see the highlights from Matty's game 3. It would just be a clip of him walking out of the Leafs dressing room wearing a Casper costume.
He was NOT great tonight. On the EN goal, why didn't Matthews dump it deep?

Is Marner hurt because he has been horrid?

Is Nylander really that important?

Win Game 4. This is going 7.

Yes given who the leafs are playing. He'll skate circles around these scumbags.

How is the world does he not dump the puck there with seconds left. Loses and Boston scored empty net. Just too many bone head plays by these guys. They don’t deserve to win anything

The problem with this is that Bos is making as many bonehead plays as the Leafs, but they refuse to capitalise on it.

Bos had 15 giveaways tonight. Plus a lot of blown coverage. Leafs had a bunch of odd man rushes and hit the post, or couldn't even get a shot on net.

Matthews didn’t take another step forward after that Game 2 performance. Kinda dialled it back down to a less noticeable game all 200 feet. Big letdown on special teams.
Yeah disappointing tonight. Killed any chance of a late comeback not getting that puck deep.

Judging by keefe’s comments about how the day off will help players who are playing and dealing with stuff and have given us a lot…..matthews not skating this morning……super short shifts and not much ice time……skating was super off tonight.

Feels like matty got hurt and is nursing something

mcdavid is averaging 5 points a game this year in the playoffs. comparatively matthews isn't doing enough.
You'd think 1 of Toronto's Big 4 would UP their game in the playoffs. Just ONE.

Winning teams have at least 1 players who has a 2nd level - like Marchand for Boston.

Matthews has been good (very good in Game 2) but not game changing and not as impactful as he was for 82 games.
JT is old and slow but he's trying / contributing.
Marner has been awful.
It will be nice to get Nylander back.

Toronto has to win Game 4. If/When they do, this will go 7 and Toronto will win.

Everyone is f***ing nursing something right now.

Like enough excuses and f***ing get it done already. 3 top ten paid players and none of em doing shit last game or game 1.

It helps when you watch the games . You should try it sometime .
It helps when the highest paid player performs every game like he's f***ing paid to do.
