Khisamutdinov had an assist today in a 2-1 loss to Kunlun. It's his first point in the KHL this season in 6GP.
looks like Avtsin was traded to Traktor, hopefully it opens a spot for Khisamutdinov once he's back from injury.
Any info on what his injury is and if he's out for long or will return soon?
Digging further, there appears to be nothing to be concerned about:
Khisamutdinov received a minor injury in Sunday’s game, he could have continued but his coach decided against it.
According to this, you don't sustain an injury in Russia but you "receive" it, like a gift.
European Prospect Report: Mattias Norlinder isn’t slowing down
received an injury is perfectly good English, although a bit formal and out of fashion.
receive an injury/blow | meaning of receive an injury/blow in Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English | LDOCE
sustained etymologically comes from sub+ tenir (to hold), so sub hold, beneath hold, or less than hold. Basically, holding an injury, whis is also weird if you over analyze it.
The most accurate is to use injured as a verb: he was injured ....

AHL to NHL is the same as VHL to KHLWhat's the equivalent of the VHL?
And the MHL as their junior league?AHL to NHL is the same as VHL to KHL
Yes, in that case the MHL = CHLAnd the MHL as their junior league?

Yep, anyone under 21 and over 17. They don't draft NA players though. It also seems like there's no more draft as of 2016Are North American players eligible to be drafted in the KHL?
I don't think Norlinder will be brought over. There are SHL teams interested in signing him. And I would think Montreal would rather let him develop in the SHL before bringing him over here.
In terms of European prospects, I think Romanov and Ylönen are the priorities. Olofsson is still under contract next year, so I think they will let him stay there another year. And we'll see how it goes for Ikonen. They have his rights until June 2021. But he's barely played the last two years. So I don't know if they want to let him play the year before making a decision. Or if they choose to sign him and bring him over where they can also monitor him more closely.
We also have to keep in mind the NCAA and CHL prospects who may be signed, particularly the CHL ones whose rights expire this year (McShane, Hillis, Houde, and Fonstad). There are also RHP and Khisamutdinov, who Timmins pretty much said the reason they drafted them was so they don't get in line in a year to convince them to sign here as free agents. So chances are they will be coming in. However, they hold Khisamutdinov's rights for a while longer and an option they have with RHP is sign him to an AHL deal next year and his ELC after.
Arsen always hasn't really been that good from the way it's been posted, but over here with more ice time might be better for him and allow him to break out.
He hasn't been great with very limited TOI in the KHL, but he has 6pts in 7gp in the VHL.
That's 3rd line minutes, which is pretty good for him. If he could stay in the KHL and consistently be getting that usage I'd have no problems at all.Khisamutdinov - 0 pts, 1 shot, 4 pims, 1 hit, 13:03 TOI. I tried to catch the 3rd but the stream was crap so I just shut it off. On to watch Olofsson.

The VHL is ABSOLUTELY not comparable to the AHL.Hi there, I wanted to know a bit more about this enigmatic player: Arsen Khisamutdinov and the league he plays in: the VHL. Does the caliber of the league is comparable with the AHL? Also, he seems to have as many points as other players who've played between 35-50 games. It's his last contract year with CSK VVS Samara; do you see him making the move to the AHL? Finally, what Arsen needs to improve to impress in the AHL?
