I'm not sure I see a big difference between their coaching styles to be honest.

The Ads just have prime aged Letang / Malkin in Makar and MacK.

At some point the push back was going to be there for Avs. Winning that first game like that was probably bad for them... they thought every game was going to be easy.

I think you only get an exemption in Round 2. Round 1 rules stipulate you can't change your top line unless due to an injury. And even then you're required to replace that injured player's spot on that line with the worst remaining skater on your roster.
