Since the Sens are pretty much in the playoffs now, what are the scenarios for Boston and Pittsburgh to make the playoffs. Anyone know?

Basically, there are only 2 ways Boston gets in:

1.) A win of any type plus a Pittsburgh loss
2.) A ROW while Pittsburgh gets only one point.

Any other scenario results in Pittsburgh getting in

I always liked Regehr. In his mid 20s, he was a monster. It's always a shame to see how quickly the careers wind down for the physical, stay-at-home types.

He did right by the Sabres. Waved his no-trade clause. We got picks. He came to Buffalo with an open mind too, waiving his clause.

That said, he was spent when we got him. Not much left.

Good luck. Enjoy your money and the rest of your life. Quality player.

At some point the players stop responding to those type of coaches so it's possible. Plus the players know they should be winning more games and getting yelled at (again..or again and again) will not magically make them better. Obviously there's a lot of talent on the Kings but they have finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th in the division the last five seasons. There are two Stanley Cups and a Conference Finals during that five year stretch however for them to barely make the playoffs then win Cups suggests talent, league parity and probably coasting through some regular season games. Whether the entire team mails it in or different players on varying nights but there is some sort of disconnect when you have a roster capable of winning Stanley Cups that has trouble making the playoffs.

Will fix everything
Have to think Staff re-signs with Winnipeg. Closest he's going to get to his home in Milwaukee, and Winnipeg is on the up-swing.

Seems like a no-brainer for me.

:dunno: Being an american boy, he may want to return to the US.

MN, Chicago, St Louis, Columbus, Nashville are all "relatively" close to to Milwaukee

Just depends on the fit.

He will go to whoever gives him the most money, and given his production with Winnipeg and the lack of free agents, I suspect some team will overpay.

Chicago is definitely the closest. Could be intriguing to see him with the Hawks... Not that they have a lot of money to work with at the moment but if they can get teams to bite on Sharp, Bickell, & Shaw, he'd be a nice secondary scoring option.
