Trading 2 or 3 top D prospects and a top G prospect for him would be nuts at this point in time.

Well, when I said Niskanen+Maatta+Dumoulin+Jarry, I wasn´t saying we should go for that deal. I was just referring to the statement of having/not having the assets.. We certainly have them and this would probably be the value the Oilers would seek. They won´t give up on the 1st overall pick that early for a smaller value.

I don´t like Yakupov, though. Just saying we have those potential assets.

They were always overrated.

Like I said in another thread, the Metropolitan Division is the NFC East of the NHL. Gets all the hype because of the big markets teams in it, but never delivers.

4 of the last 7 Stanley Cup Finals had someone from the Metro Division in it. 5 of the last 9. 11 of the last 16. 14 of the last 22.

Which admittedly, isn't that far from the expected 11 of 22. But still.
