The fact Edmonton was able to grab Kane without any taint from his previous contract cap hit grinds my gears. And San Jose skates away from it too. There should be consequences to signing bad people to bad contracts. Do your due diligence like the rest of the league.

I don’t have a problem with Edmonton signing Kane, although a good case can me made that the contract dispute between Kane and SJ should be resolved first. With that said, it would be unreasonable to not allow Kane to seek alternative employment after being fired. Kane was available and the Canucks could have signed him too but we said no.

Certainly I don’t think SJ should be able to skate away from Kane’s contract. We all knew they were looking for any reason to get out of it
