Never count Detroit out I guess. I didn't think they'd make it out of the first round without Lidstrom either.

These are epic semi-final matchups.

Two O6 matchups, longtime division rivals that haaaaaaaaaate each other and playing in the West together for the last time in CHI/DET, the other NYR/BOS and everyone loves a NY/Boston matchup....

Then the Battle for Cali with the defending Champs, and finally Pens/Sens, prohibitive favorites against the underdogs at all cost with an axe to grind...so to speak.

You really couldn't write a better script for the semifinal games.

NBA who?

These match-ups are pretty awesome. Boston vs. New York. California vs California. Detroit & Chicago. And Ottawa and Pittsburgh with the new rivalry from the Cooke-Karlsson scene.

I'm even more excited for the round now that I see the match-ups!!!

:laugh::laugh: Brilliant.

Should be a good series. Neil is going to be on a rampage. Pit has their work cut out for them... facing a legitimate playoff net-minder. Karlsson has had some time to rest and practice. Maclean > Byslma.

Ottawa in 7.

Well if you watched NBCSN I guess you would get this:

This is what the Caps were mad about, this happened right before Hillen's roughing call:

Capitals are angry because the Bourque elbow on Backstrom was just a little chicken wing fly by, Callahan threw his elbow right into his head and looked right at him right before doing it.

On to the GIF:

One Canucks fan is handling all of this well:

Ya, but I think the reasons are somewhat childish TBD. The Bruins are a cheap, dirty team that scumbagged us out of a Stanley Cup that, had the rules been called properly, we likely win. To see our fans cheering for that team - for ANY reason - is repugnant to me. They cheated us out of a cup, not Toronto.

I would love to sit down with one of these "the Bruins cheated their way to a Cup" Canucks people and watch a Red Wings/Avalanche series from the late 90s.

I think they might die.

Like, actually die from all that rough-housing.
