I didn’t like sockeyes but I think it fits more for the area then the kraken. Is the kraken even in that area? I thought that was like South Pacific legend.

The logo is simple and has some good features. Harkens back to the old seattle team logo with the simple additions with the kraken theming. Better than it actually being a big ol squid.

A simple logo with some flare is the best kind of graphic arts design principle.

yeah I don’t get that at all. I’ve been watching euro soccer don’t know why but I am. I actually dig the sounds of the game. I can only imagine how good hockey will sound with the blades stopping boards hitting slapper a and pipes being hit.

I like Kraken more than Sockeyes.

Sockeyes sounds too minor league for me.

kraken is a name I would expect if Vince McMahon started an xhl

Didn’t mind emeralds or totems or evergreens or steelheads or sockeyes (didn’t like sockeyes at first) but it did grow on me.

but whatever kraken it is. Just think the S is lazy

yeah it'd be nice if they made a cool kraken, with the S somehow worked into it. obviously that's kind of stealing from the Vegas "V" concept, but still would be cool

also, idk if totems would've flown in today's political climate. it'd be a tricky line for ownership to toe

yeah totems would be tricky but if you do it right and bring in the right tribes it could be done right. I just feel like kraken was the most “bad ass” sounding name and that’s why it was picked and not really the best name.

I mean literally in that post I listed things I do like. If you also read further up clearly I have stated I like the color scheme. It’s not hard to do a little investigating before throwing broad statements out

I was expecting Mariners and Seahawks colors for them, but I understand that they would end up too close to the Canucks' current uniforms and you need some clear distinctions in the stands between those two since they will likely be the closest rivals. Good for Seattle and hope they make up the sports hole that the NBA left.

part of it was def from the fan reaction, seems like everyone (at least on reddit and twitterverse) really loved kraken

downside is it will literally be tied to that movie "clash of the titans" forever

They did very well with this. The name and jerseys are great.

My suggested jersey was much better.
