This is not one of those feel good posts.

As of today Gaudreau has more pts than McDavid, Monahan has more pts than Drasaitl and Tkachuk and Lindholm both have 55pts within one of Draisaitl.

Calgary has 4 players in the top 15 in pts

Add Gio and Calgary has 5 players, 5 that are OVER PPG production. We have two.

For perspective Calgary has 5 players far more prolific than RNH. How sad is that?

If it wasn't for Brent Burns Flames would have the top pts D in the league this season. As if this isn't madness Gio is +33. Its hard to argue he's out there cheating for pts.

Our top pts D has less than half the pts Gio does, 23, and our 5th leading producer has a paltry 22pts.

I just looked the other day and Nuge was top 30 in scoring. He's not our problem nor does he (or Drai) get to play with much on the 2nd line. All this kind of a post tells me is that we need at least a 4th guy that can put up points up front (duh, we've all been saying that all season long!) and we could use an offensive boost from the blueline.

We BADLY need that 4th guy up front and more productive bottom 6ers and for Bouchard to be that offensive stud on the blueline that we've lacked forever. Nurse, Bouchard and Jones = 3 guys that can put up some points on the blueline. Bottom line is we really need Bouchard to be all that he can be (US Army catch phrase).
