There's a lot of Leafs not as good as Auston Matthews. But that's what happens when the #1 player is on your team.

Stay the course. We had a massive talent injection last year. No where near that improvement this year and we have older players playing key roles. We might dip before we rise.

Team needs some time to mature but also needs to move on from some of that zombie core from the Carlyle days. JVR and Bozak need to be completely replaced with two harder working, versatile, two way forwards, Komarov, needs to be upgraded on and at least one stud defenseman added. Moving out Martin would be good too.

Team needs some time to mature but also needs to move on from some of that zombie core from the Carlyle days. JVR and Bozak need to be completely replaced with two harder working, versatile, two way forwards, Komarov, needs to be upgraded on and at least one stud defenseman added. Moving out Martin would be good too.

Unfortunately, the talent injection will likely have to come via trade and it won't be easy.

This is the downside of not being sellers last year and why "scorched earth" rebuilds generally last more than 2 seasons.
