Arby's appreciation thread

WTF is an Arby anyways?
Arby's was founded by the Raffel Brothers, Forrest and Leroy, in 1964. "Arby's" represents "R.B.'s," which stands for "Raffel Brothers'."

Here's an actual photo of a roast beef sandwich.

Arby's uses cold cuts, albeit low-quality ones. I haven't had an Arby's sandwich in over fifteen years, namely because there aren't that many locations in Vancouver. All of them are located in food courts; the only standalone restaurant location used to be across the street from a Wendy's location. The Wendy's still stands, while that Arby's is long gone.

Eh, it can be a nice change from the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich but theres nothing special about it either.

Actually, for some bizarre reason the few times I go there it takes forever to get my food and usually there is no one in line and maybe one car in the drive-through.

Arby's is the absolute worst. I'm proud that it has been rejected by people residing in the 416 area code and has limited interest elsewhere in Canada (and, frankly - the places that have Arby's are populated by the type of people willing to eat at that place).

Taco Bell and starvation are a "nice change" from the other options. Arby's is not.

I don't think Arby's is that bad it's just...not something I've had often and thought "God I can't wait to come back for more"

Granted I never think that about any fast food but when I say "I'm never thinking Arby's" it's cause it's just meh.

Yeah last time I was there I was doing a lunch run for my supervisors at work and it wasn't a huge order but it took way longer than it should've considering I was the only one there.

My great grandfather went out to lunch every Tuesday with his military buddies -- it was their day off from training. He wanted to continue that tradition with me. It meant a great deal to him. After each meal, we would lick each other's toes, just as he did with his military buddies.

Towards the end of his life, our local Arbable's location closed. We shifted our business to a nearby Rubable Tuesdable's. It was still good, but not quite the same.

Every now and then, I'll drive to the next town over and enjoy a good meal at Arbable's. I usually find a nice corner booth, consume my Roast Beef, and then lick my own toes while sobbing. It's what my great grandfather would have wanted.

Thank You and Gosh Bless,
James Crick
