Disappointing loss, but having a shot at the playoffs was playing with house money, then making the playoffs was house money. Leading the series was house money, winning the series? You guessed it, house money.

The whole season the Flames were playing with house money. As ****** as the feeling is tonight, Stewie's post is exactly how I feel. This young team has plenty of time to win lots of playoff games, the experience alone is far more valuable than anything.

They'll make the next one close, and play some good hockey, maybe even steal one in the Duck's barn.

Ain't even mad.

Yeah, its worth remembering as well that most of our core is really young. Its not like if we don't win it all this year our window is closed or something.

Don't you know we're worse than the 14/15 Avs, and when the playoffs are over, we'll regress and be basement dwellers for five seasons afterwards?

Not really concerned with the score as I am with the health of Hudler and Ferland. I'm confident we'll see the Flames respond to a loss like this but if those two are out for any amount if time, we're ****ed.

Meh, we're playing meaningful hockey in May.

Let's see if we can bounce back from a blowout. We haven't been blown out very much this whole year.

Not just the core, most of our players. Even some of our older guys don't have tons of NHL experience. Look at tonight for example.

Gaudreau (21, rookie) - Monahan (20, sophomore) - Hudler (31, 9yr)
Bennett (18, rookie) - Backlund (25, 6yr) - Colborne (24, sophomore)
Ferland (23, rookie) - Stajan (30, 11yr) - Jones (30, 8yr)
Bollig (28, 3yr) - Jooris (24, rookie) - Shore (23, sophomore)

Brodie (24, 4yr) - Engelland (33, 5yr)
Russell (27, 8yr) - Wideman (31, 10yr)
Schlemko (27, 5yr) - Wotherspoon (21, rookie)

Hiller (32, 9yr)
Ramo (28, 4yr)

9 of 20 have 3 years experience or less. 8 of 12 forwards fit in that group.
10 of 20 are 25 or younger, 8 of 12 forwards fit in that group.

A lot of Southern California fans are notorious for leaving games early. Tickets werent expensive down here at all, I saw tickets on stubhub for $44.

Yeah, when I did the Flames' California road trip in January, tickets were really affordable compared to what we have up here. I got really decent seats for ~$30 in LA and San Jose. I "splurged" a little and paid $60 for the Anaheim game because it was so close to the glass and that's unheard of here. If I had paid $80, I'd be right up against the glass.

There are even promotions going on right now up here in Calgary that include flights, hotel, and tickets to the game that aren't too shabby, especially when you compare them to what you'll be spending for a home game.

Bad game, gotta move on. Hope they can bounce back in game 2, need better penetration in the O-zone, it's difficult to overcome the Ducks, wether it's with physicality or spee. Expect w better fight nex next time!
