Sounds about right. Ekholm and Ellis looked great together towards the end of the season when we were actually winning games. Have to imagine they'll start together, but anything can happen. I imagine the 2nd and 3rd pairings will get similar ice time until one pulls away from the other.

This was what I was thinking. Bartley is only on the roster because the team has no depth right now.

Volchenkov is > Bartley. He is perfect fit to slide alongside Jones or Ellis and is good on the PK.

We'll still have like $12m I think. Use it wisely. And a lot of these deals are 1 year types, Fisher will also probably retire after next season (assuming he gets healthy enough to even see the ice) which opens up more cap space.
