Now we just need to draft either Timashov or Tkachev to make it truly hilarious.

Glad that it's done. Will be very interesting to see what he can do in his first pro season over in NA. Hopefully Yakimov takes a big step forward too.

Hope he can be a force in the AHL.

How is our AHL team looking so far:

C.Hamilton - Draisaitl - Miller
Slepyshev - Yak2 - Thakchev
Moroz - Khraira - Chase
Winquist Ewanyk - Jones

Praying he can be our Evgeny Kuznetsov.

When players produce like there peers we expect similiar performance.
no one says if mcdavid can be good in NHL.

.20+ GPG @18 RSL/KHL since turn of century.
With best NHL goal rank in a season.
kovalchuk #2
Semin #7
Kulemnin #27
Ovechkin #1
Malkin #2
Kuznetsov #197
Tarasenko #5
Yakupov #28
Slepyshev ???
Yakimov ????

Kuznetsov?
Nope?

That would be a failure out of this group.
10 in the last 15 years we have the last 3.
Anything short of top 30 goal scoring from this group of 3 would be a shame.

He gives him 2 years in the AHL at the most, then likely back to Russia when the currency comes back up.

Talks about ruble ratio vs dollar is way too overrated. Yes there was a time in last december when a 1 dollar costs about 75 rubles but after that ruble hit back and ratio is about 50 rubles for dollar now. So overall ruble lost just about 25%. PS: Slepyshev wants to play NHL and that what is matter most at the moment. He would earn more in Russia anyway.

He will not stay in AHL. NHL or way he goes to Russia.

I doubt it.

He doesn't have a chance to play in the NHL. They wouldn't bother bringing him over now if this was part of the discussion. They likely gave him the same contract that Yakimov got, which sees him make a bit more in the AHL than more on a two-way.

25% drop in your currency is massive, economy wrecking stuff.

Russia has probably not seen the end of US sanctions, either
