You don't think he'd be better than Helm or Richards?

Not a chance. Helm is fast, kills penalties and brings energy. Richards is slick with nice passing and sees the ice really well. Both are able defensively responsible.

Mantha can't skate like Helm, can't PK, and isn't nearly defensively responsible. Mantha is mentally fragile and needs lots of confidence for his offense to shine.

Mantha would be a liability on the team right now.

Almost 45% of games he's played this season he went pointless. And is a -4 in his pointless games. Only has 6 goals to date... takes almost $7 million in cap hit.

But I regress, Mantha isn't better than anyone in the top 9, so no point in calling him up. Leave him in the AHL so he can work on his game. Wings are soft as butter, nothing Mantha will do to change that.

60 point pace = $6.7 million cap hit. It doesn't get cheaper.
