That's a good thing. Lou takes care of his players, it might look like a small gesture, but thats the kind of thing that makes a guy wanna come back and makes your organization look good. Yeah its nepotism, but its harmless to give a kid a shot. Lou probably gets a ton of respect from his guys (like Henrique said in his AMA) which is helpful when a certain ultra dangerous sniper might be NHL-bound and remembers the GM that fought for him and didn't drag him through the mud on his way out.
