Makes no sense to me how a team can have all these chances all year long & still never, ever, ever score.

I don't understand it either i understand losing parise and kovalchuk were setbacks but there is more then enough talent on this team guys really need to step up .

This still bothers me....How the hell does this happen?
No where else does that not go in.

And why did they blow the whistle? He never had the puck.

This is exactly the type of luck we've been having all year. Meanwhile Marty and Cory are getting deflections go past them so often you would think our guys are playing for the other team.

Why do you think we haven't scored in a shootout yet? We just never lift the puck. Makes the shootout scouting report easy. Just go butterfly.

Fixed. Now I don't remember how many goals they actually scored, Boucher, and that's about all I remember. But still, so embarrassing.

Devils just don't practice ROOFING the puck.

So what if it misses high? At least it would get the opposing Goaltender to stay honest....

As a NHL player do you really have to practice roofing the puck? Is this sarcastic, I can't tell . Then again the Devils are an exception to anything offensively.

As an NHL player, if you're struggling to score, and you see OTHER teams players basically roof it instead of constant aiming 5-hole or trying to wrap the puck around, then it's time to start practicing what the others are doing.

So yes. You do really have to practice roofing the puck.

One has to wonder whether they practice shooting the puck at all. You hear those stories about Lemair making Souray shoot at a milk carton to improve his shot, why isn't Deboer doing something similar for our players to improve their accuracy? They talk about shooting corners, but do they ever practice it at all?

I highly doubt they practice it. Deboer probably just gathers them up and tells them they have to "find a way" to put the puck in the net. I mean that's what he tells the media. AKA "you guys figure it out because I have no idea how to make you guys better players".

He completely scoffed at the idea of practicing the shootout. That was another asinine response/quote of his. He should be making these guys practice the shootout, and telling them that they are only allowed shots that come off the ice surface.
