Where do people come up with this? He was a center for a Sarina Sting and had a few stints at wing before being moved back. He was drafted by Sarina to be a center, and his ability to play all 3 positions helped the team when they needed a winger, but his main position was CENTER.

Pacioretty, according to this year is not a two-way guy, unless by two-way you mean, from red line to hash marks and back??

Prior to this season Galchenyuk hadn't played center at pro level.

I'm aware he was a center in Sarnia his first year. He wasn't wing for a "few stints" though.

On the other hand, we see that Scrivens was not a bad acquisition and that the Habs have an alternative to Condon while Price is recuperating.

Can he continue? Lots of comments about how Scrivens is constantly battling the puck, he doesn't seem to be in control. He's had three good games, but that doesn't mean he can be consistent and replicate that kind of performance longer term.

Price hasn't even put on any goalie's equipment yet, he's far off, so Scrivens would really have to perform for quite some time yet.

Good win for the players. Nice to see them get a bit of a streak going.

Bad for the organization as it prolongs the agony.

If he doesn't keep playing well that could be the end of his NHL career. This is his 4th team.

Pretty good incentive.

And he has the goaltending coach to help him.

No he played wing his last year in sarnia too, he just didn't take many draws because he wasn't as good as his winger. Its why he wasn't too good at it last season. You need practice to be good at that. Yanic Perreault would have been a good hire for the habs just as a faceoff coach, even manny.

He was drafted to play center and Bonfirebin said as much. Now ask why up till this year he had less than a dozen games ever playing center in 3 years? If you are going to draft that player at that position maybe try him there even if you do like last year and have gally take some of the faceoffs. Thats should have been year 1 or 2 at max, not year 3 and finally move him at year 4...then to just swing him back to the wing. This is the worst kind of player non development.
