One thing that certainly helps is not conceding the zone without so much as a mean look. We also had Orpik, an overplayed and ineffective Scuderi and an overrated Niskanen, last year. But you are right that the coach has probably been the real difference.

Matchups are a thing now, too. Which probably makes for tougher sledding on the opposition.

People who vote on awards are morons. 100% the people who vote would use Fleury's past issues against him now.

It happens all the time across all sports. Usually, people hold irrelevant post-season stats against someone's regular season awards.
