Sens up 1-0 in 10 game season series thanks to a 3-2 win over Montreal Thursday night. Their 1st win in 9 games.

The Good:

Gallagher was our best forward. The Danault line our best line. Romanov and Petry played well.

And, hey, those jerseys looked fantastic!

The Bad:

Not a great night by either Weber or Suzuki, but after the game Suzuki owned up to it, calling it his worst game this year.

But, hey, they look amazing in those jerseys.

The Ugly:

Tkachuk, just because ... It's definitely not Chiarot. Guy could be a model for that jersey.

Lineups are undetermined at this time for Montreal. Apparently, Romanov took a puck to the face at practice today (from Drouin) & is a game time decision.

However, Montreal:

Tatar -- Danault -- Gallagher
Drouin -- Suzuki -- Anderson
Toffoli -- Kotkaniemi -- Perry
Lehkonen -- Evans -- Byron

Chiarot -- Weber
Edmundson -- Petry
Kulak -- Romanov/Mete

Price (expected starter)
Allen

Ottawa:

Tkachuk -- Norris -- Dadonov
Paul -- White -- Batherson
Stutzle -- Stepan -- Brown
Galchenyuk -- Tierney -- Watson

Chabot -- Zaitsev
Reilly -- Zub
Brannstrom -- Gudbranson

Murray
Hogberg

MUST WIN!!

Expected a loss last game. Now expecting Habs slaughtering the Sens. Maybe not 10-1 but not a close game. I expect them to dominate top to bottom and Price to start playing to his level.

Maybe it's time to swap Byron/Lehkonen with Perry. Add some much needed speed on the KK line

A win would be good against those Sens... but common they can't be detroit.... can they?

We play them 9 more times. They could potentially be a lot more damaging then Detroit was last year. We need to find a way to get offence behind their trap. Sounds easier then it probably will be.

Better option, imo, is to switch Drouin and Toffoli if it's speed on KK's line that we want:

Toffoli - Suzuki - Anderson
Drouin - Kotkaniemi - Perry
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Byron - Evans - Lehkonen

Either that or try Anderson on his offside and go heavy:

Drouin - Suzuki - Toffoli
Anderson - Kotkaniemi - Perry
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Byron - Evans - Lehkonen

Expecting another tight game, which will likely be the case for every game against the Sens this season, and I won't be even a little surprised if the Sens do win again tomorrow.

Can't be throwing away points against the weaker teams so they need a good bounce back game tomorrow afternoon and the 2 points.

Do we bounce back or do we keep playing like shit against the Sens for no reason?

...did Clod get Chairot off the Top Pairing yet??...cuz if not, look for the Sens to play the same trap game and Montreal's "top" D-pairing having no answer moving the puck...

Absolutely hate afternoon games and if i recall over the last couple of years we haven't been great in them. Having said that Habs should win this easily.

Don't understand why 1pm. The team isn't going out west next game? Typical CBC wants to suck the leafs in primetime again. Just put all our games on TSN please

Armia might actually play. Apparently, he practiced today. Thought maybe Wednesday's game vs Toronto. He'll be a welcome addition.

If we have the cap space to do it, I'd keep Perry in on the 4th line. His size and puck control would be a help to Lehkonen and Evans. He's also still a good PP specialist. Armia can take Byron's role on pk. Byron hasn't done anything this year.

Apparently, Romanov is cut, but not seriously. He should play.

Ottawa is just one of those teams that is always going to play us hard. We've had lots of success in their rebuilding phase, but now they have 3 young stud skill guys that can hurt you. They got to us early and went into a shell and it worked. 9/10 we win that game tho.
