pretty disappointing right now, he showed promise in his first call up but the next year or so he’s struggled to find his game offensively and played more of a grinder style, rather than a potential top 6 player which I think we were hoping for.

Idk he’s smallish, average skater with average shot…. Doesn’t really do any 1 thing above average… still some potential but I’m starting to give up on him becoming anything more than a bottom6/ahl guy

Ah yes, the Dallas Eakins effect.

RNH lost all of his offensive creativity under Eakins. Still gone, not sure it will ever come back.

In junior and his first year in the league Oilers fans used to compare RNH's vision, elusiveness, and ability to appear somewhat magically in the right spot to Gretzky. A year of playing under Eakins and that magic is just gone. He's very much a straight line player now a days.
