Hedberg, you mean? After we ditched Gerber, I always kind of hoped we'd pick up Moose as our backup. I think he'd easily have been better than just about any of the rogue's gallery of Ward backups we've had since then (maybe aside from Legace and Dobby)

Yeah, Legace was the guy I wanted the most after Detroit ditched him but I honestly didn't think we'd have been able to afford him (we would have been able to). But Moose was always my #1 choice for us to sign that offseason. Guy was the ideal backup in his prime IMHO.
