He came back to Malden Catholic during the lockout season and was on the ice with us during tryouts. My friend always will have the memory of getting him to take a slap shot on him and he saved it but his hand was red for the rest of the week

American sports probably lead the world in turning entertainment into money.

The one thing they are absolutely horrendous at is making the 'all-star' or 'alternative' type of game work. Yes, it's fun to imagine rivals playing together, but the way it is packaged in the NFL/NBA and NHL is utterly unpalatable.

A great idea from Australia; they run a 'State of Origin' game where individuals are selected based on where they were born - I think that would work well, especially in hockey.

They need some new ideas, the stuf they trot out at these #All star events would bore me to tears if I catually bothered to watch.

Give people something to be invested in and they'll take the time to watch it.
