Ok anyone wanting VLC stream this is what you do. goto http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=09394026822550896529 donwload the script rename it hockey.luac and move the file to the program files (x86)/VideoLAN/VLC/lua/sd load up VLC goto playlists click the /r/hockey and you will see all hockey games.
Lua/Luac Latest Version - fo VLC 2.1.0 or higher - click the link and save the file in one of the following directories:
Windows: ProgramFiles(x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\sd\
Mac OS X (all users): VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/sd/
Then open VLC player --> View --> Playlists --> Internet --> /r/hockey --> click on the game you want to watch and select the quality.
Here are visual instructions for using the script.
I've been really bad about streaming lately. I sorta got hooked up and usually the weekends, which are typically when Bingo plays and sometimes Ottawa, are our only time to hang out. I've also had some issues where the screen gets unnecessarily choppy - not sure what that is but I'm continuing to investigate and research.
Also, the VLC stuff on reddit doesn't work and I don't understand why people don't object to the developers a lot more. Since the VLC links do not work you can try using the web player http://dnalloheoj.com/vlc-viewer-beta/ You need the VLC plugin for your browser - usually Chrome or Firefox. If you don't have the plugin working then reinstall VLC and ensure you choose the option to install the plugin.
