That makes sense and I don't even know why someone, somewhere, thought it was a good idea until today to have people cross the border 6 days before Christmas with the risk of being stuck in a different country than their families.

I know Covid isn't super likely to cause issues to players, but they're still stuck there if they test positive.

This probably effects Canadian teams mostly.

It sounds like games which don't require cross border travel are still on.

There are also other teams already shut down (Bos, Col, Nash, Flo etc.) and a quick glance at the schedule has roughly half of the games already postponed between now and Christmas. It's possible or probable that another team or three will end up on the Covid shutdown list.\ which would leave fewer games actually played. NHL should just shut the whole thing down for a couple of weeks.
