Pfft I wasn't pointing to us as am example as a way to do it. Leafs do seem to be somewhat decent with later round drafting. Kulemin, Reimer, Stralman, Hayes and Gunnarson have at least had NHL success and can be those meat and potato guys.
Those were 2006 picks. And they have all been traded away...or will be traded away.
Teams prefer meat and potatoes type players. Teams do not prefer over-paid flashy players with no substance to their game.
