Personally, I'd wrap Helm in bubble wrap and keep him out of the preseason.

Datsyuk doesn't run his own social media so I don't think it means anything.

Yeah his fb post doesn't mean anything. He's never been the guy to take a ton of abuse as he mostly gets out of big hits and such, I just can't believe how frail he has become the last couple of years.

It's mostly been knee and wrist injuries. That has little to do with being frail or not. Dats is in rock solid shape physically.

Is Helm going to wear a birdcage or is he going to be kept out for a while? Wasn't Emmerton who broke his nose last season and was kept out for a while?

Either way, he has some really, really bad luck.

Think some of you guys are over-reacting, unless the broken nose impedes his breathing I don't see how it'll keep him out of the line up, he can just wear a full face guard.

Didn't see the game last night but NHL TOI report shows he finished the game out, when did he get hit?

Pavel Datsyuk said he'll have an MRI on shoulder, likely on Wednesday. Doesn't seem to think it's serious. Estimated he'd be out a week.

Datsyuk is fine. Probably just a little sore and they'll rest him to make sure he's ok. Season is still a few weeks away
