These are the last several players drafted at #15 overall.

2008 Erik Karlsson
2009 Holland
2010 Forbert
2011 J.T. Miller
2012 Ceci
2013 Pulock
2014 Larkin
2015 Senyshyn
2016 Kunin
2017 Brannstrom
2018 Denisenko
2019 Caufield

And in the last notably deep draft in 2015,

#16 Mathew Barzal
#17 Kyle Connor
#18 Thomas Chabot
#22 Ilya Samsonov
#23 Brock Boeser
#24 Travis Konecny
#35 Sebastian Aho

Really you’d have to go back and look at players taken around 15OA instead of at 15OA.

yeah, I kind of did that for myself. Just thought it would be kind of informative to share the caliber of players drafted at exactly 15. There obviously have been a lot of busts drafted higher too.

Pittsburgh
As an aside, do they know who won, or is there a new drawing on Monday with everyone with an equal chance?

Because Pittsburgh only had a 4.7% chance initially, about a third of the 12.5% chance everyone keeps talking about.

Because how it keeps being talked about it sounds like a new drawing, everyone equal, on Monday.

Every team who is eliminated gets a 12.5 chance.

Ah gotcha. I think a lot depends on how confident you are about this draft, tbh. I’ll do a few years

2010
12 Fowler
14 Schwartz
16 Tarasenko
19 Bjugstad
21 Sheahan
24 Hayes
26 Kuznetsov
28 Coyle
30 Nelson
37 Faulk

2011
15 Miller
19 Klefbom
26 Danault
30 Rakell
37 Boone Jenner
39 Gibson

2012
13 Faksa
16 Wilson
17 Hertl
18 Teraveinen
19 Vasilevskiy
22 Maatta
28 Skjei
30 Pearson

2013
12 Domi
13 Morrissey
15 Pulock
20 Mantha
23 Burakovsky
26 Theodore

2014
13 Vrana
15 Larkin
17 Sanheim
18 Tuch
19 Deangelo
20 Schmaltz
21 Fabbri
22 McCann
25 Pastrnak

2016
14 McAvoy
16 Chychrun
39 Debrincat

2017, officially the guessing point and last year I’ll bother looking at
13 Suzuki
20 Thomas
22 Yamamoto

I’m sure I missed some, but that’s the gist of it. A few above 15th and quite a few under it to paint a picture.

Edmonton and Toronto would be dreadful. They don’t deserve to be rewarded for their mismanagement.
