Exactly. You see what you have with him by playing him. Then you can decide to either extend his contract or ship him out for picks/prospects. At this point the Sens aren't giving him a chance to earn a longer term role and they also aren't increasing his trade value.Or at least get some value for him at the deadline or next year's deadline. There is not much reason NOT to give the guy some games at this point.
He has been waiting in the press box while this coaching staff tried Stepan and Connor Brown on the powerplay. The same powerplay that we are the 8th worst in the league at with 13.6%.
