Fortunately for the Habs, they didn’t actually trade DeBrincat. They probably wouldn’t have taken him in the draft. Rather, they likely would have taken an eventual non-NHL player.;)
Well it was guaranteed that they would have chosen Girard, so that on its own is a horrible trade.

Yea I really dont get the whole **** on the Habs thing for this since other teams were pretty contempt in letting him slide for all we know he could slide down close to the 3rd round due to teams worrying his game wont translate or that he was just a product of Strome and McDavid
