I kind of like Chiasson. Last year, he was the only Oiler (besides Draisaitl, duh) who would regularly put rubber on net and force goalies to make saves. His role was very important last season, when there was absolutely zero scoring from the wings.

He hasn't been given much PP time this season because the Oilers' PP has been great so far, and Tippet understandably doesn't want to mess with it. But Tippet seems to be a Chiasson supporter, so I suspect Alex will get his chance sooner or later...

He was brutal with Ottawa, which was especially irksome given that he was part of the Spezza trade.

Just a floating passenger for the most part - neither fast enough to make much of an impact nor physical enough to really generate turnovers or tilt momentum.
