Yea, the points haven't always been there. But even in games where he doesn't produce, you notice him out there with his physicality and his long reach helping in the forecheck. There are games he's invisible, as well.
But overall, a good season by McCarron.
McCarron being much more implicated than what I have seen toward the end of last season.
Does he still have a glimmer of hope on the 4th line? He's one we can see that Bouchard has had an impact on. It also helped that McCarron worked on his skating this off-season. In the AHL, you can see the difference. We don't notice it much in the NHL. But at this level, you can tell.
They did, they signed Agostino and Chaput, who are now both with the Habs.Honestly, why don't they sign a premium AHL scorer like Locke and company used to be? Team needs to see playoffs at a certain point to develop.

Chris Terry and Taormina were good but that was not enoughNot really at the level of Locke in his time here.
They are good vets but not really studs in AHL.

Agostino had 83 pts 2 years ago. He's a stud in the AHL, like Terry in previous seasons. Chaput is more like Grenier, 40ish pt players in the AHL.
If you compare with other teams, the main reason why we are bad isn't that we lack good veterans, it is that we lack talented prospects. Shinkaruk and Grenier been underwhelming though which didn't help though (but we also have Froese, and Kulak/Sproul, Alzner/Mete now. Chaput/Agostino should be AHLer and DLR/Scherbak in the NHL though, but that would be a surplus a good veterans compare to average it is normal to see some call-ups at some point too)
Fair enough but seems like they could've used more.
